Tommy the Turtleneck

Tommy was once an average turtle. One day he waddled into a local department store and saw a turtleneck sweater on clearance. He bought the sweater and has worn it ever since.

He now thinks he fits in with high society sipping scotch and smoking cigarettes while laughing at all the turtle friends of his past. What a jerk.

RockBeard The Pirate

Sometimes when getting up in the morning I like a nice clean shave. This comes to a screeching halt when I discover a blunt and dull razor blade is grabbing my skin. I then realize I have been visited by Rockbeard The Pirate.

Rockbeard the pirate was cursed many years ago. He was cursed after stealing a treasure chest belonging to a fellow pirate Madrussa the Stone Gazer. His whiskers did not escape her stone stare resulting in a petrified abomination of a beard.

He now sails the high seas in search of the perfect razor and shave, longing for the refreshing after shave lotion sensation to calm his weathered skin. He currently breaks into ships and unsuspecting land dwellers' homes stealing brand new razors and replacing them with dull, useless, versions. Be on the lookout.

Birthday Beast: The Balloon Belcher

I need to be vigilant. A Birthday Belcher has been sighted raiding birthdays today! Birthday Belchers swoop down on unsuspecting birthdays and gobble up all the balloons. They then use their consumed balloon power and search for the next party high in the sky. Once they see their next target they belch extra balloons out to land and gobble more! Happy 2nd Birthday Tejas!

Live Stream Record: Birthday Beast sketch for my nephew's 2nd Birthday

Here is a live stream for sketching out a Birthday Beast today. Sorry, no audio, the house was still asleep. Part 2:

Villain of the day: Folks who made me animate Justin Bieber

I try not to talk about my day job much and try to keep this blog about entertaining you with random weirdness of villainous encounters. But after having to move on from Warner Bros. after 9+ years I've had to embark on a quest to find the next new landing spot. I had no idea what was waiting for me in the wilderness of job hunting. I ran into a studio that wanted me to do the unthinkable.... They wanted me to animate a Justin Bieber walk cycle. I have nothing really against Justin Bieber. How can I? I've never met the guy. But the fact that I have to deal with his persona in pop culture on a daily basis tests my limits on how much I can handle. Needless to say, I've had my fill of Justin Bieber after spending this much time with him. (Okay, fine, just a few hours. Give me a break, let me vent.) I was asked to start from scratch and design him in Ameba Pigg style featuring the Black Eyed Peas. They provided this as reference:
So, after staring at that for a bit, I ended up with this below:

Animating a Justin Bieber walk cycle has awoken me from my slumber. Soon, you will see my "modified" version to cope and digest this villainous encounter in my life.
